California Cellular Phone Law Effective July 1, 2008...
Starting July 1, 2008, California drivers, 18 years of age or older, will be prohibited from driving a motor vehicle while using a wireless telephone unless a hands-free device is used. California will join Connecticut, the District of Columbia, New Jersey, and New York in prohibiting the use of handheld mobile phones while driving.
